2008-2009 Student Ticket Amendment

Digital Student Ticket Distribution

Beginning with the 2008-2009 season, University of Oregon student tickets for football and men's basketball games will be distributed via electronic ticketing. The system is structured on a "first come, first served" basis; however, tickets will be distributed in equal allotments for each class status. Every two hours, a different class status group will open for distribution. No group has an advantage over any other group based on its ticket request period.

Breakdown of Groups:
Group 1: 16.8%* of the ticket allotment will be for students with 0-44 credit hours (freshman status). Group 1 may request tickets between 10am-12pm on the Sunday prior to a home football or men's basketball game.

Group 2: 13.5%* of the ticket allotment for home games will be for students with 45-89 credit hours (sophomore status). These students may log in and request tickets between 12pm and 2pm on the Sunday prior to a home football or men's basketball game.

Group 3: 18.6%* of the ticket allotment for home games will be for students with 90-134 credit hours (junior status). Group 3 may request tickets between 2pm and 4pm on the Sunday prior to a home football or men's basketball game.

Group 4:19.7%* of the ticket allotment for home games will be for students with 135or more hours (senior status). Group 4 may request tickets between 4pm and 6pm on the Sunday prior to a home football or men's basketball game.

Group 5: 31.4%* of the ticket allotment for home games will be for graduate students. Group 5 may request tickets between 6pm and 8pm on the Sunday prior to a home football or men's basketball game.

* The percentage of students in each class will fluctuate weekly based on what the current percentages of freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students are during that time. These percentages will be updated weekly by the registrar.

Plan to implement
Students will receive an email from the Athletic Department in May that discusses the new policy and procedures.

Students will then be able to log onto www.goducks.com to register their account and set up a password.
On the first distribution day, students will log onto www.goducks.com. Students can only log in and have access during their designated time-frame. The student will need an account to request student tickets.
Students that receive tickets will receive a confirmation email from the Athletic Department. The ticket will be added on the U of O identification card.
Students enter Autzen Stadium or Mac Court with their ID and receive a stamp on their arm that grants them entrance to the student section.

Football:
Students that receive tickets on Sunday will have until Wednesday morning before the game to release their ticket back on the Go Ducks website. All tickets turned back to the UO Ticket Office, as well as any unclaimed tickets, will be made available for any student to request beginning at 5pm on the Wednesday prior to the home game. Tickets can be claimed by any student, regardless of credit hours, but must have paid the incidental fee. Students that claim the returned ticket are then responsible for game attendance or will be subject to penalty. This allows students two chanced to be able to log in and secure UO football tickets.

Basketball:
Same as football but students have up until 48 hours before a home game to release their ticket back on the Go Ducks website without being penalized. The tickets will be made available to all students at 9am the day before the home game contest. Students that claim the returned ticket are then responsible for game attendance or will be subject to penalty.

Penalties

Football and basketball penalties are independent of each other.

Football:
After a student misses two home football games he or she receives tickets for, the student forfeits tickets to the next home game. After missing three football games, the student forfeits tickets for the rest of the season.

Basketball:
After a student misses two home men's basketball games he or she receives tickets for, the student forfeits to the next home game. After missing three men's basketball games, the student forfeits tickets for the rest of the season.

Football Rewards Program
Students present at 100% of home football games prior to the Civil War (Oregon vs. Oregon State) game will have first priority to request Civil War tickets in advance of the normal student ticketing distribution. This applies to the years when the Civil War game takes place in Corvallis as well.

In the years in which the Civil War football games take place in Corvallis, students present at 100% of home football games prior to the Civil War game will be able to purchase the Civil War student tickets in advance of the normal student ticketing sale.
