DDS Driver/Navigator/Dispatcher

Purpose Driver: To drive students home in a safe and timely manner

Navigator: To get all rider information from the dispatcher and relay it to the driver.

Dispatcher: To disperse rider information to each van.
Principle Functions: Navigator:
1. Communicate by radio with the dispatcher
2. Organize riders in a logical manner
3. Direct driver where to go
4. Locate riders and assist them in the van, if necessary
5. Serve as crowd control in the van
6. Maintain an accurate and complete navigation log for each shift
7. Responsible from 1-3 shifts/week

Dispatcher:
1. Answer phone call in a timely fashion
2. Screen and dispatch passenger requests
3. Communicate by radio to the navigator
4. Maintain an accurate and complete dispatch log sheet for each shift
5. Responsible for 1-3 shifts/week
Time Span 01/2009 - 06/2009
Position Type: Student Hourly
Requirements: 1. Must be enrolled at the University of Oregon
2. Have a current driver\'s license
3. Complete University van driving certification class
4. Ability to communicate well with others
5. Ability to abide by all city, state and federal driving laws

Applications can be picked up and submitted to the ASUO office in Suite 4 in the EMU. Applications are due by Friday,May 18th at 5pm.
Salary: $7.80-$8.50/hour
