EMU Board Program Representative

Purpose EMU BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Uphold the mission of the EMU as adopted by the Board of Directors in 1992:

The Erb Memorial Union, with a commitment to the involvement and development of students, shall serve its diverse campus community by providing high quality programs, services and facilities that complement the mission of the University of Oregon.

The EMU Board shall have the responsibility for making general policy decision and long range plans for the EMU. The Board shall also advise the staff of the EMU in the day-to-day management and administration of the EMU, allocate the EMU’s multi-million dollar budget, and assigns space for student organizations.











Principle Functions: DUTIES:
• Attend full Board meetings – every other Wednesday at 4PM.
• Serve on the House Committee – every other Wednesday at 4PM on the weeks there are no full Board meetings.
• Potentially serve on Long Range Planning Committee.
• Attend meetings for special committee to which you are appointed
• Hold at least 3 office hours a week.
• Attend Board Orientation and Training Sessions.
Time Span Spring 09 - Spring 10
Position Type: Stipend
Requirements: • Persons wishing to apply must have at least two terms of experience in an ASUO program other than ASUO Executive, the Student Senate, the EMU Board, or the Constitution Court
