Internship

An internship is a temporary position that emphasizes education, rather than employment. Internships should provide a student with a valuable learning experience in a field of interest. Available internships are listed under Internship on the left of the screen.

Volunteer

The ASUO and its associated programs hold many events throughout the year that often need help from volunteers. Examples include the ASUO Street Faire, the Women\'s Center Take Back the Night event & the International Student Association\'s International Week. Current volunteer opportunities are listed under Volunteer on the left of the screen.

Stipend

Stipends are for positions that are often voted or elected into office. The pay is for expenses incurred, and in no way does the pay represent the hours worked or a form of compensation nor should an elected stipend role be seen as a job, work or an employment position. “Stipend” is used in both federal and state materials associated with scholarships, grants, and other financial aid.

Student Hourly

Student hourly positions are paid the said hourly amount and received at the end of each month. Positions that are paid on an hourly wage can vary from the ASUO Receptionist position to DDS positions.

University, Administrative, ASUO Committees

Student involvement in University Standing Committees is an integral component of Shared Governance at the University of Oregon. Not only do University Standing Committees offer students the ability to maintain a constant dialogue with the University\'s faculty, staff and administration, but they also allow students to take part in important decisions that affect the University. Yet, in order for students to receive the benefits of participating in committees, student committee members must play an active role in the committee on which they sit. Committee opportunities are listed under Committees on the left of the screen.
