DFC Mission & Goals

Mission Statement

The DFC is in its inaugural year. The DFC was created to look more deeply into large budgets through a more thorough hearing process.  It has been charged with budget allocations for ASUO departments. These are either fully or partially funded by student’s incidental fees.

The DFC is composed of six members, each serving one or two departments directly.  In making budget recommendations to the ASUO Senate, the DFC takes into account:

  • funding history and spending behavior,
  • outside funding, and
  • demonstrated need.

DFC members are here to serve the students, and are determined to offer oversight and support for departments throughout the budgeting process.
